Sean Woodson added another impressive victory to his record, delivering a spectacular finish against Fernando Padilla on the UFC Tampa preliminary card.
Padilla came out strong in the opening moments, putting pressure on Woodson, but “The Sniper” weathered the storm and began to turn the tide as the first round progressed.
In the final seconds of the round, Woodson unleashed a series of crisp one-two combinations that sent the Mexican fighter crashing to the canvas. A brief flurry of ground-and-pound sealed the deal, prompting the referee to step in and call a stop to the fight.
With his win at UFC Tampa, Sean Woodson extended his undefeated streak to eight consecutive fights, matching the longest active streak in the UFC’s featherweight division alongside Movsar Evloev and Lerone Murphy.
The 32-year-old closed out 2024 on a high note, achieving a perfect 3-0 record for the year, including victories over Charles Jourdain and Alex Caceres earlier in the season.
On the other hand, Fernando Padilla now stands at an even 2-2 since his UFC debut in April 2023.
